Kenneth D. Hayslette
CPPO, C.P.M., CPCM

Trainer, Speaker, Writer, Consultant specializing in Personal Achievement, Procurement, Contracting, and Communications.

Kenneth's passion for helping others become happier through success in their careers and personal life has motivated him to develop and present customized workshops and seminars for many private and public organizations including the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, National Association of Education Buyers, International Quality & Productivity Center, Florida Institute of CPAs, and many other organizations. He has authored many articles in procurement, contracting, and professional development and contributed to many textbooks.

Kenneth has been engaged by many public agencies, utilities, private companies, and non-profits for consulting services in contracting, intellectual property rights, negotiations, organizational development and leadership development.

Kenneth's background includes serving as the Operations Manager for a mid-sized electronics firm specializing in the development and maintenance of specialized consumer and industrial video and automation technologies. Subsequently he worked for Volusia County, Florida for seventeen years working his way up from Buyer, Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Systems Coordinator, to the Purchasing Director. He also served as the Procurement Services Director for Lake County, Florida for over three years.

During his career in public service Kenneth has been responsible for the centralized procurement of commodities, services, and construction for two county governments including procurements for diverse stakeholders such as the Sheriff, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, Corrections (prison system), Library Services, International Airport, Convention Center, Beach Services, and Transit Authority, as well as the "standard" county programs. He has also been responsible for Disadvantaged, Minority, Women Business Enterprise (D/M/WBE) programs overseeing County, State, and Federal projects and grants.

As an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida, he taught Operations and Quality Management at undergraduate and graduate levels. He is a guest lecturer at other colleges and universities.

Kenneth is a Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), a lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), and a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM). He holds an MBA in Operations Management.
